A Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation branch in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area partnered with the American Warrior Initiative (AWI) to honor a local U.S. veterans organization. Along with a donation, the Fairway branch held a residential housing “boot camp” to train real estate professionals and mortgage planners on how to best handle the home-purchase needs of active duty military members and veterans.
Fairway and AWI were able to honor two local veterans with service dogs. One of the recipients was U.S. Army veteran Bryan Bergson, who spoke at the event about the impact of service dogs on combat veterans. Bryan’s new service dog, named “Copper,” came from Helping Paws. The other recipient was, unfortunately, unable to attend.
Co-founded by Louise Thaxton and Sean Parnell, the American Warrior Initiative is a non-profit organization sponsored by Fairway Independent Mortgage. AWI seeks to ease U.S. veterans’ transition from military to civilian life.
I am proud to work for a company that does so much to honor those who sacrifice for our country. If I can help answer any questions about VA loans or any other home loan options, please give me a call.Tags: Veterans
